Che' McFerrin is currently the Global Supplier Inclusion and Sustainability Associate Manager with Accenture. She joined in February of 2021 by way of a recent acquisition and currently assists in identifying diverse suppliers for the organization and Accenture clients. Che joins Accenture with over fifteen years of experience in minority and women business development that includes both the private and government sectors. Previously Che' served as the Global Supplier Diversity Manager for Myrtle Consulting Group, which she joined in 2018 to develop and drive their Business Development relationship with Supplier Diversity and Procurement Professional with current and future clients of Fortune 500 organizations. In addition, she ensured diverse businesses had an opportunity to provide products and/or services to Myrtle.
Formerly, she was the Supplier Diversity Coordinator and Purchasing Specialist with NRG Energy, Inc. She assisted minority, women, and small business enterprises in maximizing their opportunities to participate in NRG's procurement and sourcing processes. She also oversaw the management of the company's procurement card purchases.
Before joining NRG, Che' was noted for Halliburton's Supplier Diversity initiatives and was a constant figure in the company's efforts since its restructuring in 2006. She played an instrumental role in developing innovative strategies that increased diverse supplier utilization for small businesses. She also educated and mobilized Halliburton's employees as advocates, garnered support for business development efforts to increase profitability and customer satisfaction; aligned supplier diversity with global sourcing and procurement initiatives; and established a defined metrics and measure system to chart progress towards world-class standards.
Che's professional efforts have been recognized by the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council and awarded Halliburton the Corporate Innovation of the Year Award. This award was significant because recipients were selected by a panel of diverse suppliers and industry peers. In addition, Che was instrumental in Halliburton receiving the Prime Supplier of the Year Award, which is based on customer nominations and recommendations.
In addition, Che' was one of the three persons named as 2010 Best in the Decade -Supporting Stars in the MBNUS, a Minority Business News Magazine, for continued dedication and ability to uphold and maintain a Supplier Diversity Programs during transitions.
Che's professional career has included Certification Specialist for the Port of Houston, and Supplier Diversity Specialist with the Houston Independent School District. She has also worked for several Fortune 500 companies, including Continental Airlines and Federal Express.
Che' earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. She is active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations. An essential aspect of her life is her husband and their two daughters – Bryce & Dylan.
