“It takes the village to raise the child” is an African proverb meaning that a child’s development is a responsibility shared by many people in a community. Community Works CDC youth development services provides Northeast Houston youth and families with excellent opportunities to elevate their academic, vocational and social wellbeing.
We target at-risk and justice involved youth who need specialized attention to succeed. Through our core programs that follow an educational support model and other evidence-based mechanisms, CWCDC works to ensure our youth become ready for college, work, and life.
Through our efforts, we are building the next generation of leaders, innovators, and community advocates of the 21st century. Empowering youth and families is our mission with the expectation that the youth we impact will experience the transformation of a lifetime.
